Adult Winter Reading Programs

Baby, it’s cold outside. Curl up with a good book by the HD fireplace!

And, to make it more worthwhile, there are libraries in Washington and Clackamas counties offering winter reading programs. There are great many prizes to be won- as if reading wasn’t its own reward!

Click on the libraries for more information.

West Slope Community Library– This is their 3rd(!) annual Adult Winter Reading program, which started December 5th  and runs until February 18th. (WCCLS)

Wilsonville Library– There’s always a first time for everything, especially at the library! The AWRP here runs from January 9th to March 12th. (LINCC)

Garden Home Community Library– They’re getting in on the fun as well. Theirs began December 19th and runs until February 28th. Check out their Winter Read-Off contest for kids, as well! (WCCLS)

Teens aren’t left out in the cold. Both Beaverton City Library locations (Main and Murray Scholls) started their Teen Winter Reading Program on December 17th and runs until January 3rd. (WCCLS)

We think it’s great that reading programs aren’t just a summer thing anymore!

(Have you participated in any of these winter reading programs before- or do you plan to now that you know about them? Are we missing any in the Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas counties? Please leave a comment below- or send us a tweet!)
